Elon Musk said he would be “there to support” Donald Trump as he returns to Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday to hold a rally at the site of the first assassination attempt against him earlier this year. said.
The Republican presidential candidate is scheduled to speak Oct. 5 at the Butler Farm Show fairgrounds in a suburb north of Pittsburgh.
“I'll be there to support you too!” Musk wrote in X late Thursday in response to an image President Trump shared to promote the upcoming event.
“Saturday’s Butler – Historic!” Trump wrote on X, accompanied by an image of him raising his fist, taken on July 13, shortly after he was shot.

“I fully support President Trump and wish him a speedy recovery,” Musk said after the rally.
Trump's campaign announced last week that “President Donald J. Trump will return to Butler, Pennsylvania to hold a rally in the same place where he almost lost his life less than three months ago.”
During a rally in North Carolina last Wednesday, President Trump said he wanted to return to the Butler venue to “finish the speech.”
“You know, as we know, there have been two assassination attempts in my life…and the first one was in Butler, Pennsylvania, which is a great place. We're going back to Butler. I intend to,” he said. “I'm going to go back and finish my speech.”
National polls show Harris leading Trump by two points, but her vulnerability with non-white voters is also exposed.

The Trump campaign said the former president would honor those killed in an assassination attempt during a rally.
Corey Comperatore, 50, was a firefighter and father of two daughters. His campaign said Trump “historically sacrificed his life to protect his wife and daughters” during the assassination attempt.
President Trump will also recognize two other Americans injured by the gunman, David Dutch and James Copenhaver.
“He expresses his deep gratitude to law enforcement and first responders, and thanks the entire community for the outpouring of love and support in the wake of the attack,” the campaign said.
