Angelina Jolie Reflects on Legal Struggles with Brad Pitt

In newly revealed emails, Angelina Jolie expresses her concerns about the ongoing legal dispute with Brad Pitt over the Chateau Miraval winery. It seems she’s under a lot of stress, as she noted in a May 2021 email to Pitt’s business manager, saying, “I need to get rid of all the stress.”

She further mentioned feeling “anxious and sick,” indicating the emotional toll the situation is taking on her. Requesting better support, she hinted that the strain of their relationship was weighing heavily, stating, “the inability to continue the relationship that you feel is stressing me out.” There was also a reference to her brother James Haven, reflecting on a problematic financial situation that lacks appreciation.

Another email from November 2023, included as evidence by Pitt’s legal representatives, addressed a legal battle initiated by Pitt, who is suing Jolie for $35 million. The message implied that the struggles surrounding the productions were of Pitt’s own making. It claimed that as part of the lawsuit, Pitt must provide documentation to substantiate his claims.

Additionally, a separate email from Jolie’s team reiterated that Pitt is pursuing significant damages due to alleged disruptions to Miraval’s operations. They noted that Pitt had not yet provided documents about a four-year non-disclosure agreement that is central to the case.

Recently filed documents, part of an effort by Pitt’s attorneys to acquire Jolie’s emails related to the Miraval sale in 2021, now feature a 286-page filing. It’s interesting to note that Jolie’s legal team maintains she is entitled to attorney-client privilege and has resisted giving up certain documents.

Pitt’s legal team also sought to dismiss Jolie’s request for him to cover $33,000 in legal fees, which she had sought in relation to her challenges against his request for access to her private emails.

Originally, Pitt filed his lawsuit back in 2022, accusing Jolie of selling her share in the winery without his consent, a claim Jolie denies. She countered with her own lawsuit, accusing him of engaging in a “war of revenge” against her.

Jolie previously mentioned issues of past trauma involving Pitt and their children, particularly citing an incident aboard a private jet. Although she chose not to pursue charges at the time, this situation continues to play a critical role in their ongoing legal battles.

The actress’s legal representatives emphasized that Pitt’s recent filings rely on speculation rather than facts, and aim to breach her privileged conversations with her lawyers.

The next court date for the former couple is set for December 17th. Despite their complex and challenging history, which includes their marriage in 2014 and a divorce filing in 2016, their legal issues continue. They share six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.
