Mayor Eric Adams admitted he voted for Kamala Harris as he headed to the polls on Tuesday — just one day after he strangely refused to say her name.
Mr. Hitzoner stormed into Bedford-Stuyvesant Public School 81 and was questioned by reporters about the selection of ballots.
“This is the same person I supported,” Adams said. “Vice President Kamala Harris.”
Adams declined to answer further questions about his choices, telling the audience that expressing his opinion was “campaigning.”
The claim was made just a day earlier by the embattled mayor, who claimed he didn't want to be accused of running an election while carrying out his official city duties.
Adams endorsed Harris as the Democratic candidate to replace President Biden over the summer, but has remained noticeably quiet about Harris' candidacy in the remainder of the race.
