Ohio Dentist and Wife Found Dead: Timeline of Events

Before the tragic deaths of Spencer Tepe, 37, and his wife Monique, 39, a woman placed a 911 call from their residence, which dispatchers categorized as a “domestic dispute.” This call occurred months prior to their deaths.

On December 30, the couple was discovered fatally shot in their home between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Thankfully, their two children and dog were unharmed during the incident.

Records indicate that the 911 call came in at approximately 2:45 a.m. on April 15 from the same address. The audio revealed that the caller disconnected, prompting the operator to call back.

The operator asked, “Hello, this is 911. Your call just hung up. Are you okay?”

Throughout the call, the woman, who was visibly upset, insisted she was “fine” and “just emotional.” At one point, she mentioned, “Because me and my husband got caught up in it. But I’ll be fine, I promise.”

When asked if any physical altercations occurred, she stated no, clarifying that she hadn’t hit anyone. Dispatch records labeled the call as a “domestic dispute,” and it was noted that assistance was “no longer needed.” The woman’s identity remains unknown.

Spencer, who worked at a dental factory in Athens, was found with multiple gunshot wounds, while Monique had been shot at least once in the chest. Concerns about Spencer arose when he failed to show up for work, leading friends and coworkers to check on him and ultimately discover the couple’s bodies.

Police investigations found no signs of forced entry, nor did they locate a weapon at the scene. They have ruled out the possibility of a murder-suicide.

Audio from the frantic 911 calls captured the distress of friends who found a bloody scene and a child’s voice in the background. Spencer’s children, aged four and one, along with their Goldendoodle, were safe and later placed in the care of family members.

Rob Misley, Spencer’s brother-in-law, expressed that the children were “in loving hands” and seemed unaware of the gravity of their loss. However, he shared the difficulty the family is facing in breaking the news to the eldest daughter about her parents.

“We don’t know how to do it,” Misley remarked. “I think she’s wondering when she’s going to see her mom and dad again.”

In an ongoing investigation, the Columbus Police Department released video footage of a “person of interest” seen near Tepe’s home, but Misley downplayed the significance of this individual, suggesting they could simply be someone returning home after a night out.

While authorities continue to investigate the motive behind this heartbreaking incident, information remains scarce.
