Gavin Adcock Confronts Nickelback Crew at Festival
During his performance at the Rock the Country Festival in Anderson, South Carolina, Gavin Adcock paused to confront a member of Nickelback’s crew in a heated moment.
On social media, Adcock shared his experience, stating he was defending his father against a sound technician from the band. The situation escalated when the crew reportedly clashed with Adcock’s dad over an empty drink left on the soundboard, which, interestingly enough, belonged to Adcock’s acoustic guitar player—his mom.
Videos circulating online show Adcock leaping from the stage and rushing toward the conflict. There were claims that the sound technician tried to remove his father from the area when Adcock intervened.
“Hey, let me tell you something real quick,” he reportedly stated to the sound guy. “You’re going to lose your awful job. Get back there.”
While no physical altercations occurred, security swiftly stepped in to defuse the situation.
Later, Adcock took to Instagram to express that his father had always encouraged him to stand up for what’s right. “That’s exactly what I did,” he said.
Adcock explained how the sound technician got upset over the drink, which he misidentified as belonging to Adcock’s father. “The sound guy sees the drink, throws it off the soundboard, and kicks my mom out,” he recounted in a video.
According to him, after the escalation, his dad approached the sound guy and told him he needed to back off. Adcock described the technician as acting defensively, trying to call for help while Adcock was performing, saying, “He’s just trying to cause some trouble.”
Fans who witnessed the incident supported Adcock, commending him for his loyalty and response to the scene.
So far, Nickelback has not made any public comments regarding the incident.
