Emma Radukanu revealed the “difficult experiences” involving fans who “displayed elaborate behavior” with her during the Dubai Tennis Championships.
Radkanu, 22, cried Tuesday after seeing a man during a match against Karolina Man Varba.
“Thank you for the message of support,” Radkanu wrote her Instagram story on Wednesday.
“Yesterday was a difficult experience, but I'm proud of how I went back and competed despite what happened at the start of the match. It's a great sport for the rest of the tournament, and Thank you for wishing good luck.”
The WTA issued a statement Tuesday It details the dire situation involving one of the game's young stars.
The man “displayed elaborate behavior” first approached Radukanu on Monday. The man gave her a letter at her hotel.
A day later, in the first set of 32 matchups with Muchova, Raducanu stopped playing.
The 2021 US Open Champion looked obviously distraught before moving back towards the referee's chair.
Muchova then approached the area and spoke to the judge before it seemed to check on the Raducanu.
Ladukanu, the world's 61st player, wiped away tears before the match resumed, and McClavab won in straight sets.
Men are seen in the first sequence according to the WTA, and are expelled, and are prohibited from all WTA events because “threat ratings are pending.”
“Player safety is our number one priority and tournaments are advised on security best practices for international sporting events,” a statement from the WTA read. “The WTA is actively working with Emma and her team to ensure her happiness and provide the support she needs. We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all players. We are continuing to be committed to working with tournaments and their security teams around the world.”
Radukanu dealt with similar horrifying circumstances around three years ago when 35-year-old Amrit Maghgarh stole Radukanu, then 19, and received a five-year restraining order after being arrested.
He has arrived at Radukanu's house three times, leaving hand-drawn maps and bouquets of flowers on separate occasions, All BBC.
Daily Mail reported that this new “fixed” person is not considered to be British national and is not related to previous circumstances.
