Survivors of the sexual crimes associated with Jeffrey Epstein, who died recently, expressed confusion about whether they truly understand the president’s intentions. Haley Robson, an Epstein survivor, mentioned that the president does seem to be listening to her but isn’t sure he grasps the depth of what she’s trying to communicate.
Robson emphasized the significance of understanding in communication, suggesting that she feels uncertain about whether he fully comprehends her message. She invited Trump to meet with her and other survivors to better appreciate the trauma they experienced as victims of Epstein’s child sex trafficking network.
“There’s really no way to grasp the situation at that moment, especially for a 16-year-old girl. It’s just devastating to live with that kind of abuse,” Robson pointed out during an appearance on CNN’s “The Appearance of Erin Burnett.”
She noted the failures on both sides in addressing the issue. When asked about meeting Epstein’s victims, Trump admitted that it hadn’t crossed his mind, yet he expressed his disapproval of the entire situation and his concern for those who have been harmed.
Robson insisted that if Trump chooses not to meet with the victims, he should at least refrain from dismissing Epstein’s crimes as a hoax. “How can progress be made if leaders continue to label this a hoax, when that’s far from the truth?” she questioned during the interview.
While many Republicans argue that Trump doesn’t consider the allegations against Epstein to be fictitious, they contend that Democrats are crafting a narrative around a supposed conspiracy surrounding Epstein’s records.
“It’s like a chaotic mess—one moment you’re labeled as an FBI informant, then you’re not. It’s all very confusing,” Robson added.
