‘ER’ Star Betty A. Bridges Dead At 83

Betty A. Bridges, who had a 40-year career in the entertainment industry, passed away on August 27 at the age of 83.

Bridges is the mother of Todd and Jimmy Bridges, who are also heavily involved in the industry. The famous actress made guest appearances on dozens of hit TV shows throughout her career. She was reportedly receiving hospice care at her son Todd's Phoenix home when she passed away. deadline.

Bridges has had a 40-year career in Hollywood, appearing in films such as “Police Woman,” “Good Times,” “ER,” “Hill Street Blues” and “Charlie's Angels.” She also had a role in “2 Broke Girls.”

This celebrated actress has worked steadily throughout her career, establishing an impressive catalogue of work.

She has had an incredibly wide range of roles, including guest appearances in Wonder Woman, Quincy, Diff'rent Strokes, Dallas and Beverly Hills 90210.

Bridges also made waves in the film industry, appearing in films such as A Night at the Roxbury, Rooster, and Concrete Jungle.

In 2000, Bridges' career and home life took a turn when she starred in “Building Bridges,” a short film written and directed by her sons, Todd and Jimmy.

Bridges' skills extended far beyond her characters. She was a renowned acting coach and proudly founded the Cain Bridges Academy. Her generosity and love of acting led to incredible acts of kindness, and she was known to give free classes to children in her neighborhood. According to Deadline, her family said Bridges was known for tutoring Nia Long, Tony O'Dell, Sanaa Lathan, Marcus Chung, Shashawnee Hall and sisters Regina and Rayna King.
