Eric Adams has wrapped up his term as mayor of New York in a manner that feels quite similar to how he started—by enjoying a night out at a private club.
On a night when 22 attendees were present, the mayor was spotted at Dennis Rich’s Angel Ball launch party, occurring just a day after he stepped down from the NYC mayoral race.
Adams apparently jumped into the festivities with excitement, mingling with guests who eagerly wanted photos with him, as reported by a source.
After dining at the club’s restaurant, he went upstairs to socialize with Rich and her charity crew, which included familiar faces like Star Jones, Monas Cottonyon, DJ Timo, and Simone Smith. They all had been chatting about the mayoral race prior to Adams’ arrival.
Others in attendance included Fer Da Silva, Ramona Singer, and Peter Thomas Roth.
Adams has become somewhat of a regular at Rich’s annual gala supporting cancer research. In 2022, he stayed late to surprise organizers, reveling in the music from Chaka Khan and Fat Joe, followed by an afterparty featuring DJ Cassidy.
His popularity in these circles has been noted, with another Angel Ball regular remarking on how well he knows everyone at places like Zero Bond.
During the 2023 gala, he received warm applause for a speech regarding “Our Beloved Israel,” made shortly after the October 7th attacks.
This year, however, he did not attend the Bash, following some legal controversies that were resolved earlier in the year.
Looking ahead, Rich’s Angel Ball is set to take place at Cipriani Wall St. on October 27th, hosted by Gale King. The event will honor individuals like Tina Knowles, Skye, Don Rufus Hanky, and the Green Vision Foundation’s Amy Green.
