Podcaster Taylor Strecker said in a viral video that Eric Stonestreet was the “worst guest” she’s ever had on her show.
“He’s on Modern Family and he’s chubby and hilarious and sweet and funny,” the “Taste of Taylor” host told “Summer House” star Paige DeSorbo on Amazon Live on June 25. “How could he be anything else? Mean!”
Strecker, 41, thought Stonestreet, 52, was promoting his ABC comedy show during the interview, but it turned out he was actually Partnering with Pepto-Bismol For the campaign.
“I had no idea!” she insisted. “So we just kept talking and talking. I was just being my cute self. And he was like, ‘So, when are we going to talk about Pepto-Bismol?'”
“I was like, ‘I have hemorrhoids. I’m the queen of diarrhea. I love Pepto-Bismol! You can tell me anything,'” the influencer continued. “And he told me, ‘Someone didn’t do their homework.'”
Strecker recalled being surprised by Stonestreet’s comments, and joked, “You’re going to come over to my house and call my mom and dad? I don’t think so.”
The longtime radio presenter later admitted she was “furious” with the actor.
“I said, ‘Excuse me, are you getting paid by Pepto-Bismol?’ The answer is no. your “That’s not my job, that’s for other people to figure out,” she said.
DeSorbo, 31, joked that he was going to call his former Stonestreet co-star Sofia Vergara to “get to the bottom of it.”
Strecker’s story drew mixed reactions. On TikTokThe video has been viewed over 1 million times.
“My dad interacted with celebrities through his job and the only celebrity he ever complained about was Eric Stonestreet,” one user commented.
“I’ve heard the same thing from a few friends in the industry!” claimed another.
“This hurts,” the fan wrote.
“Gosh, this comment breaks my heart! To me he was such a sweet and gentle person. Obviously a really great actor,” commented another viewer.
A rep for Stonestreet did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
