Eric Trump Discusses Future Political Aspirations
In a recent conversation with the Financial Times, Eric Trump, son of former President Donald Trump, expressed that if he were to enter politics, it would be well-received by his family. He noted that “the political path” would be “an easy one” for his family to support.
He reflected on the implications of such a career choice, saying, “The real question is: ‘Do you want to drag other members of your family into it?’” At 41, he shared insights into his personal feelings about shaping a political future for the next generation.
“Would I want my kids to live the same experience over the last decade that I’ve lived? If the answer was yes, I think the political path would be an easy one,” he elaborated. “And I think other members of our family could do it too.”
Currently, Eric serves as the co-executive vice president of The Trump Organization alongside his brother, Donald Jr. He plays a significant role in various business operations, including acquisitions and property management.
When asked whether the upcoming 2024 election would be the last opportunity for a Trump family member to run, he was unsure, stating, “Time will tell. But there’s more people than just me.”
He continued, “The question is: ‘Do you want to do it?’ and do you want to subject the people that you love to the brutality of this system? I’m not sure if I can answer that question yet.”
In another interview with Newsmax, Eric emphasized that his family remains active in politics out of a deep love for the nation. “We do it because we love this nation. It’s clear we believe in this nation. And you can’t fake that,” he remarked.
