Erica Kirk Receives Charlie Kirk Legacy Award

During the 2025 Fox Nation Patriot Awards, Erica Kirk was honored as the inaugural recipient of the Charlie Kirk Legacy Award.

In a heartfelt moment, she reminisced about her late husband and the vision he had for America. “Charlie has always said, and will always say, that America is worth fighting for,” she expressed on Thursday evening in Brookville, New York.

The award, intended for those who uphold Charlie Kirk’s values of free speech, faith, and family, marks a significant acknowledgment. Following her husband’s tragic passing, Erica has dedicated herself to continuing his mission by leading the organization he founded over ten years ago. She recalled one of his popular sayings.

“It’s not the way I say it that upsets people. It’s the fact that I’m telling the truth that bothers them,” she noted.

Erica Discusses Loss and Purpose

Erica also shared a poignant encounter with a veteran police officer, reflecting on the weight of her husband’s assassination.

Charlie Kirk was tragically killed on September 10 on the Utah Valley University campus, leaving behind two young children. He had turned 32 last October.

At just 18, he co-founded Turning Point USA, aimed at promoting conservative ideals among youth, often engaging directly with students on campuses.

In the weeks following her husband’s death, Erica spoke at the University of Mississippi. “Evil triumphs when good people choose silence,” she declared while accepting the award, committing to continue voicing her truth, no matter the repercussions.

“For the rest of my life, I won’t stay silent. I will speak the truth, regardless of the cost,” she vowed.

The Turning Point USA community announced that Erica would be stepping in as the new CEO and chair of the board, expressing their pride and support for her leadership.

Country music star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany, along with Fox News’ Jesse Watters, presented the award to Erica, solidifying its status as a permanent honor at the Patriot Awards.

Reflecting on her new responsibilities, Erica discussed the path ahead during a special interview, revealing thoughts on her husband’s legacy and the upcoming trial related to his death.
