Erika Kirk promises to defend her husband's legacy: 'I'm not scared'

Erica Kirk Reflects on Charlie’s Legacy at University Event

Erica Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk, spoke with Jesse Watters on “Jesse Watters Prime Time” right before her appearance at the University of Mississippi. She expressed a deep sense that her late husband is still with her. “I feel his presence,” she said, adding that he is “coordinating in heaven, sitting down and strategizing.”

The event was part of the Turning Point Tour, with Erica’s appearance marking her first on TPUSA’s college tour since Charlie’s passing. She was accompanied by Vice Chancellor J.D. Vance during the free event held in Oxford, Michigan.

When discussing her desire to carry on Charlie’s legacy, Erica mentioned wanting to fulfill “all of his wildest dreams for this organization and more.” She noted that Charlie left behind a clear vision in his diaries, sharing everything with her.

Erica also shared a touching moment, explaining how the song “God Bless the USA” has special significance for her children. “My daughter sings it every night,” she noted, reflecting on how meaningful this song has become in their family traditions. “I just hope they capture some of this because she sings it to my son. It’s like his lullaby, and I can’t help but feel Charlie is still here.”

Following Charlie’s tragic death, Erica, who is 36, became the CEO of Turning Point USA, the organization her husband founded in 2012. She reaffirmed her commitment to his cause, stating, “All I want is to honor Charlie and continue the fight, and do it boldly. We’re not scared.”

Erica’s full interview will air later, marking her first sit-down since her husband’s assassination seven weeks ago.
