The ceremony took place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where Erica displayed remarkable strength while remembering Charlie, who was tragically shot at an event in Utah Valley University almost two weeks prior.

Gaines shared her thoughts on social media, saying, “Erica Kirk’s remarks… I have no words.” During her speech, Erica spoke about forgiveness, addressing the man accused of killing her husband, Tyler Robinson. She emphasized that Charlie’s mission was to guide young men who felt lost.

“Charlie was passionate about reaching out to those young men who feel aimless, lacking purpose, faith, or a reason to live. Many get caught up in anger and distractions,” she said. “He wanted to help them find a path and feel at home with Turning Point USA.”

In a poignant moment, Erica shared her husband’s mission, saying, “My husband, Charlie. He wanted to save a young man, like the one who took his life. Our Savior forgives, and so do we. The answer to hatred is love.”

Gaines praised Erica’s courage in such a difficult situation. “Only God can give a widow the heart and strength to forgive just days after such a tragedy,” she remarked.
