Erica Kirk Speaks Out After Husband’s Death

Erica Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk, has finally addressed the nation following her husband’s tragic shooting death.

In a heartfelt speech delivered through a YouTube live stream, the former Miss Arizona reflected on her husband, describing him as the “perfect” father and husband. She opened by expressing gratitude to law enforcement and first responders who were present on the day of Charlie’s death, as well as those who supported the Turning Point USA team.

With tears in her eyes, Erica thanked notable figures, including President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, before diving into her emotional address.

“Two days ago, my husband, Charlie, went home to see the Savior,” she began. “Charlie always said that when he was gone, he wanted to be remembered for courage and faith.” After acknowledging the immense support she received from across the globe, Erica directed pointed remarks toward those responsible for her husband’s murder.

“The bad guys who are responsible for the assassination of my husband don’t know what they did,” she stated. “They should all know this: If you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you’ve unleashed in this country.” She emphasized that her husband’s legacy would not be forgotten, vowing, “My husband’s mission will never end.”

In a poignant moment, Erica recounted how she explained Charlie’s absence to their 3-year-old daughter, saying he was on “a work trip with Jesus.” She promised that she would honor his legacy and expressed her anticipation of reuniting with him someday.

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was just 31 years old and was in the middle of his “American Comeback Tour,” which aimed to engage students across the country. Erica assured attendees that the tour would move forward as planned.

Many public figures, including Trump, took to social media to mourn Charlie’s passing, with Trump noting the deep love and admiration for Charlie and extending condolences to Erica and their family.

Reflecting on their relationship, Erica mentioned that they celebrated their seventh dating anniversary earlier this month. The couple took their vows in May 2021 and are parents to two young children.

As she concluded her speech, Erica expressed her deepest thanks to Charlie’s supporters, sending out a final blessing to them all.
