Erin Murphy Shares Natural Look on Instagram

Erin Murphy, well-known for her role in “Enchanted,” recently posted a fresh-faced selfie on Instagram, leaving fans intrigued. “This is 61 years old…no facelift or makeup,” she remarked, expressing her thoughts on the speculation around possible plastic surgery that she hasn’t undergone.

Murphy mentioned feeling puzzled about why people often suggest that she must have had work done when she hasn’t. She pointed out that it sometimes feels like a “backhanded compliment” when others say she looks good “for her age.” “This is me at 61,” she affirmed.

Starting her role as Tabitha in “Enchanted” at a young age, Murphy carries a few scars—a small one on her head from a dog-walking mishap and another under her chin from a childhood fall. She embraces her features, saying that her laugh lines around her eyes reflect her joyful nature. “I love the sun, so I have freckles and a little tan,” she added.

In a thoughtful reminder to her followers, she urged, “Before you sit down at your computer and write negative things about someone you’ve never met, consider if you can say something nice. Or don’t say anything at all.” She emphasized the importance of enjoying life and basking in nature instead.

In response to her post, her comments section was flooded with compliments. One fan noted her great genes, while another called her “awesome,” with a third remarking on the beauty of her eyes. Murphy reflected on her unique television upbringing, recalling an incident where a scar on her jaw was humorously integrated into a storyline on the show. Her TV mother, Elizabeth Montgomery, even asked about her bruise in an episode, showcasing their on-screen dynamics.

Born in 1964, the same year “Bewitched” debuted, Murphy’s journey on-screen began in 1966. Initially sharing her role with her twin sister, she later took on the character on her own. By the time the show concluded in 1972, she was just eight years old.

In her own words, Murphy explained the enduring appeal of the show: “I think one of the reasons this show is still so popular is that it appeals to everyone.” She remarked on the universal desire for magic and the fantasy that “Bewitched” represented, attributing its lasting success to its quality writing and direction. Reflecting on time, she was surprised that “Enchanted” premiered over 60 years ago, quipping about her own impending 60th birthday.

Ultimately, Murphy expressed her bond with her co-stars, thinking of them as family due to her early experiences in the TV industry. “I grew up on TV all my childhood,” she explained, noting how the relationships with her on-screen family shaped her upbringing.
