ESPN analyst Jesse Palmer roasts Florida fan with ‘friend zone’ dig

If you're a Florida Gators fan, how could it get any worse? Oh, I see.

ESPN commentator Jesse Palmer, who also hosts “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” friend-zoned a male Florida fan during the Gators' 33-20 loss to Texas A&M on Saturday.

Palmer criticized the fan, who was with a group of women in the stands, for his moustache and the blue and orange overalls he was wearing without an undershirt.

“He's got a mustache … I'm going to make a bold prediction,” Palmer, the former Gators quarterback in the late '90s, said of the fan with two minutes left in the fourth quarter.

“I think that guy is in the friend zone.”

ESPN play-by-play announcer Joe Tessitore couldn't stop laughing.

“Look, you're a top analyst. I'll be honest with you, you know how to do analysis,” Tessitore said.

“Years of relationships and dating are things I see up close and personal in my other job,” Palmer explained, referring to ABC's “The Bachelor.”

“I think he's a good listener.”

“Bachelor Nation desperately needs this kind of analysis, Katie,” Tessitore told sideline reporter Katie George.

“You don't kick someone when they're down, Jesse! Leave them alone,” George added.

“No! I think he's a great guy,” Palmer said. “I don't think he's a bad person. I just don't think he's dating anyone in this picture right now.”

The takedown happened as ESPN cameras focused on him and a group of girls dressed in the Gators' blue and orange uniforms, including two wearing the same overalls.

Florida fell to 1-2 after a 41-17 loss to Miami in the season opener and a loss to Texas A&M. Florida's only win came against Samford.

The video went viral on social media and many couldn't help but express their opinions.

“This leaves me no choice but to transfer to Florida State University,” someone said. Written About X.

“This is amazing. There's no turning back now. You'll have new clothes, a gym routine, a meal plan and a new group of friends,” one person said. Written About X.
