The 58-year-old sportscaster said he plans to continue participating in several ESPN events, including the Boston Marathon, New York City Marathon and NCAA track and field championships.

“I had a good run and I feel like my strategy has changed,” he continued. “I don’t know if it passed me by, but it took a toll on me, and I still want to put on the best show I can, but I don’t know how many years it will be.” [2026 or 2027] That I have the strength to overcome it again. ”

Anderson has been with ESPN since 1999 and often appears on later editions of “SportsCenter.”

Anderson began his career at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri, and worked at KTUL-TV and KOTV in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and KPHO-TV in Phoenix before joining World Wide Leader.

Anderson also co-hosted ABC’s “Wipeout.”

“It’s over and I don’t know where I’m going next, whether I’m going back to Wisconsin or Missouri or Arkansas or Phoenix or South Carolina,” Anderson said. “We don’t know what’s going to happen next. We’ve got some things going on, but Sports Center isn’t like that anymore.”
