There is a lot of downtime during baseball games.
a lot.
That reminded me of this Saturday in a college baseball matchup between No. 24 Coast Carolina and Eastern Carolina.
This became a dominant coastal outing, but it was an unexpected moment in the crowd that caught the attention of many.
During Coastal's Order 9-1 victory, a single fan selfie attempt took an interesting turn, attracting attention from ESPN+ broadcasts and quickly went viral on social media.
In the Coastral, which already led 5-0 in three innings, the broadcast was cut into the stands, with two Chantillations fans engrossing in their phones and taking selfies.
Broadcasters Patrick Johnson and Mike Maris were involved in the incident. Johnson casually stated, “Selfie time for some Shanticler fans.”
What happened next was taking the air for the turn.
When one of the fans finished her standard selfie, she rearranged the camera and took a photo of her (bare) ass.
The move caught both commentators off guard.
“Well, obviously her glasses weren't reading them, so she kept them there,” Johnson joked.
“An interesting picture she took there,” Maris responded.

The game itself may not have been a thriller, but the “Bat Selfie” incident quickly sparked a wave on social media, with fans sharing clips of the moment and laughing at the broadcaster's commentary.
Meanwhile, the coastal Carolina field domination was led by pitcher Cameron Fulkey.
The victory smashes the Carolina coast 11-4 a year.
