ESPN personality claims Aaron Rodgers ignored him at camp during their ongoing disagreement.

Ryan Clark and Aaron Rodgers have a complex history, and their latest chapter unfolded at the Pittsburgh Steelers Training Camp. During an appearance on the podcast “Soccer America!”, Clark shared an interesting experience about how, while many at camp were excited to see him, there were others who weren’t as welcoming. He pointedly referenced Rodgers in this context.

Interestingly, though Clark has previously criticized Rodgers, he mentioned a newfound respect for him after their encounter. “It’s cool,” he said. “It made me look up to him. I have nothing against the man; he’s fine. I want to sit with him.” His words suggest a desire to connect, even amidst past tensions.

Clark planned to extend a friendly greeting to Rodgers upon his arrival, but the response was underwhelming. “I wanted to welcome him to Steeler Nation,” Clark recounted, reflecting on a moment when he tried to engage with Rodgers, who simply didn’t respond.

“He was clear about not wanting to put on a facade,” Clark added, respecting Rodgers’ straightforwardness. However, this dynamic sets a peculiar tone, leaving some questions unanswered about their relationship moving forward.

Clark, known for his candid opinions, had also voiced concerns when Rodgers joined the Steelers. He described the one-year contract with Pittsburgh as potentially the “worst-case scenario” for the franchise. “This keeps fans feeling mediocre,” he expressed. He questioned whether the team genuinely improved in the quarterback position, wondering aloud if they could contend for championships, which is the historic expectation for the Steelers.

For the record, Rodgers didn’t play during the Steelers’ three preseason games, and all eyes will be on their upcoming matchup with the New York Jets on September 7th.
