Florida Gators fans didn't have a good time on Saturday as their team fell to Texas A&M by 13 points at home to fall to 1-2 on the season.

ESPN announcer and former University of Florida quarterback Jesse Palmer went further, blasting the fan, who was surrounded by several young women in the stands.

“He's got a mustache. You can't see it right now, but I'm waving it at him with my shirt,” the former college football player said. “I'm going to make a bold prediction: I think that guy is in the friend zone.”

Joe Tessitore, who was commentating on the game, praised Palmer's “analysis.”

“I've seen it up close in other jobs,” Palmer added. “… I would say he's a good listener.”

Texas A&M led Florida by 20 points at the half after Aggies quarterback Marcel Reid had a touchdown pass to Theo Merin Ohrstrom and then scored a touchdown on a run with 44 seconds left in the second quarter.

Florida didn't score until Graham Mertz threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Elijah Badger with 11:49 left in the third quarter, but Reid again scored on his second touchdown of the game to Silas Allen, before Bryce Anderson returned Mertz's pass 45 yards for a touchdown.

The Aggies won the game 33-20.

“There's no excuse,” Napier said when asked about being booed at the stadium when a public service announcement was played. “I have no negative comments to make about it. At the end of the day, we play a certain way in this arena so of course we're going to get criticised. This is one of those places where there's history and tradition and expectations.”

“If I played ugly and didn't look the way people wanted me to, well, that's just how it is. I would have done the same thing.”
