Evan Fournier chokes Dennis Schroder during France-Germany game

Two NBA players got into an ugly fight during an international game.

During France’s 90-66 friendly win over Germany on Saturday, a heated altercation broke out in Cologne, with Evan Fournier and Dennis Schroder having to be separated.

After being fouled, Schroder mock-attacked Fournier and placed his hand on his shoulder.

Fournier, a controversial former Knicks player, choked Schroder with both hands before teammates and referees separated the pair.

Fournier was subsequently sent off.

Evan Fournier was in the middle of the brawl.

However, the two players had a conversation on court and appeared to make amends.

Fournier, 31, remains a free agent.

He played two-plus seasons with the Knicks but was dropped from head coach Tom Thibodeau’s rotation after his first season with the team.

The French and German teams met up after their respective clashes.

He, along with Quentin Grimes, Malachi Flynn, Ryan Arcidiacono and two second-round picks, was part of the package the Knicks sent to the Pistons last year in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks.

Fournier doesn’t look back fondly on his time in New York.

“I’m very excited to be leaving New York and looking forward to a new opportunity,” Fournier said after the trade in February.

Before last season, Fournier expressed feeling like he was being “held hostage” by the team.

“I’m still in New York right now,” Fournier said at the time. “I want to leave, but more than I want to leave, I want the opportunity to get some playing time back. That’s it. That’s pretty much it. I feel great in New York. I love life there, I love the franchise, I love playing in Madison. [Square Garden]I love everyone on the team.

“So I just want to play, that’s it. If that means finding another club or changing franchises to play again, then that’s really what I want to do.”

Schroder, 30, is in his second season with the Nets.

The Nets acquired him along with Thaddeus Young last year in a trade for Spencer Dinwiddie.

After arriving in Brooklyn, Schroder appeared in 29 games for the team, averaging 14.6 points and 6.0 assists per game.
