Evan Wright, author of ‘Generation Kill,’ dies at 59

Evan Wright, author of “Generation Kill,” who served with the U.S. Marine Corps 1st Reconnaissance Battalion in 2003 and became a well-known journalist, has died at the age of 59.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office said Friday that Wright’s cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head. Wright’s death was reported to have been suicide.
