Trump, Harris take safety precautions ahead of debate

Harris briefly went off script to address the Georgia high school shooting early Wednesday morning that left four people dead, recalling visiting a college campus last year where she learned everyone there grew up training for mass shootings. “Kids should be sitting in classrooms fulfilling their God-given potential, and somewhere in their brains they're worried that a shooter is going to come into their classroom. It doesn't have to be this way. This is one of many issues at stake in this election.”
Harris traveled to Pittsburgh on Thursday, where she will stay to prepare for next week's debate. The Washington Post reports:.
Next Tuesday's debate could be the only one between Trump and Harris and will be held in the most crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania.
As Election Day approaches, candidates' cautious stance is likely to change and campaigns will seek ways to upset what are effectively tied races in key states.

The Vice President proposed a tax cut for Americans starting new businesses, expanding the tax cut from $5,000 to $50,000 with a goal of reaching 25 million new small business applications over the next four years. New businesses would be able to wait to apply for the tax cut until they start making a profit.
Axios reports: Harris no longer endorsed She has proposed an electric vehicle mandate and is co-sponsoring legislation that would require automakers to build only electric or hydrogen vehicles by 2035, but has not said whether she would veto it.
Trump
Republicans are concerned about Mr Trump's approval ratings among women, and he has shifted his stance on the abortion issue as he seeks a more moderate platform that will appeal to independents without alienating conservatives.

Officials also believe Iran tried, but failed, to hack into Harris' campaign.
New research suggests that Chinese social media organisations are fomenting negative attacks against both candidates in an attempt to stomp down divisions ahead of the election.
