Everything You Need To Know About The Epic 2022 Country Music Awards

The 56th Country Music Association Awards are hitting our screens Wednesday, all the way from Nashville, Tennessee, and it sounds like it’ll be one for the ages.

Country music’s Luke Bryan and former NFL star Peyton Manning are co-hosting the 2022 awards at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, according to Rolling Stone. This will be Manning’s first time hosting, while Bryan made his debut in 2021.

Given how ridiculously funny both men are, I bet it’ll be a really entertaining and relaxed night. No one in corporate or woke media has kicked up a fuss about both men being straight and white, probably because it is very difficult to say anything negative about either gentleman. They’re the type of guys you’d want to have a pint with at the pub, so I hope that vibe comes across throughout the show.

The most exciting part of the whole show this year is the fact that Morgan Wallen is returning for the first time in a few years, after being disinvited in 2021. The incredible crooner will be performing his latest single “You Proof,” as well as hopefully winning all of the awards he’s nominated for, including Best Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year.

It would appear that Lainey Wilson is the big name to watch above all others though. She got a nomination for the New Artist of the Year, along with Cody Johnson and Parker McCollum. As Wilson is also taking on a role in the new season of “Yellowstone,” this could be her biggest year to date, and given her talent, she more than deserves it. The show is airing live on Wednesday on most major streaming networks, including Hulu, YouTube, the ABC app. For cave dwellers still watching cable TV, I assume it’ll also be available on ABC.
