Ex-Biden Spokesperson Fails to Impress in New MSNBC Prime-Time Position After Just One Episode

MSNBC’s “The Briefing” Faces Viewer Decline

After much anticipation, MSNBC’s new show, “The Briefing,” hosted by former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, is struggling to attract viewers.

In fact, viewership dropped significantly during Psaki’s second episode on Wednesday, with nearly half of her audience disappearing. Reports indicate that the show garnered just 65,000 viewers in the critical 25-54 age demographic, a sharp decline from the 1.2 million total viewers it initially drew.

Interestingly, even popular re-runs of shows like “Friends” and “Seinfeld” are managing to outperform it, especially among younger viewers.

Fox News’ Sean Hannity continues to lead the ratings, pulling in 2.64 million viewers, while CNN’s Kaitlan Collins attracted 75,000 in the same demo, outperforming Psaki’s struggling numbers.

MSNBC shifted its schedule to place “The Briefing” in the 9 PM slot previously occupied by Rachel Maddow’s show. Maddow, now only airing on Mondays, praised the new program. However, it’s worth noting that while Maddow averaged around 2 million viewers, Psaki’s show has already lost more than half its initial audience.

Despite this rocky start, Psaki is leaning towards progressive themes, labeling a potential second term for Trump as “the most dangerous presidency of my life.” She also plans to spotlight emerging figures in the progressive movement, including Representative Maxwell Frost and Michigan Senator Mallory McMorrow.
