The ex-boyfriend of a Bronx woman, found dead in a suitcase next to a Yonkers highway, was charged with murder on Friday, according to the NYPD.
Junior Perezdiaz, 46, is also facing manslaughter and accusations of temptation in connection with the death and disappearance of her 26-year-old ex-girlfriend Pamela Alcantara, police said Friday.
Police say Alcantara's body was packed into a package next to Saw Mill River Parkway on Thursday.
Diaz is greeted by police for questioning shortly after the horrifying discovery as license plate readers caught his car near where the body was found.

Surveillance footage from the building shows the victim entered the elevator that day, but according to video obtained by the outlet, she did not come out again.
When Alcantara didn't show up to church services on Sunday, the family became worried, Kin told the outlet. They quickly reported that Alcantara had gone missing and began painting pictures of the missing woman near her apartment in the Bronx area.
They are now distraught by the sudden loss of a young woman.
“We're all in ruins because this should have never happened,” a relative told News12, adding, “She was only 26 years old and had moved her entire life ahead of her.”
The family said Alcantara recently ended his three-year relationship with Diaz and is in the process of moving out of the apartment she believes has been murdered. ABC 7 reported.
The report said it believes the family saw signs of a struggle in their apartment when they entered Monday.
A makeshift memorial appeared outside the building Thursday night after her body was discovered by police.
Diaz is currently awaiting his arrest.
