CBS sportscaster and former NFL kicker Jay Feeley has endorsed Donald Trump for president, saying Trump would be “objectively” a much more successful president than the Biden-Harris administration.
Feeley said of his support for the former president. visit Thursday's OutKick podcast, “Don't @ Me with Dan Dakich.”
“By every objective measure, Donald Trump has performed better on issues that matter to people across the country,” the station argued.
“If you look at Donald Trump objectively, if you look at his three or four years in office, three years pre-COVID to be exact, if you look at any objective measure in comparison to the four years of a Biden-Harris administration, if you talk about the things that matter to people around the country, the economy, safety, shelter, homes, the border, the economy, you'll see that by any objective measure, Donald Trump did a better job than the Biden-Harris administration,” Feeley explained.
Feeley, who now lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his wife and five children, said Trump has a great chance to flip Arizona to the Republican Party in November.
“There are over 200,000 Republicans in Arizona who didn't vote in the last presidential election,” Feeley said, adding, “If half of them vote… if half of the Republicans in Arizona vote, [Trump] Win in Arizona!”
But this isn't just an Arizona issue. “It's in every battleground state as well,” Feeley continued. “So if you're a registered Republican, just go out and vote for Donald Trump. I don't understand why you wouldn't do that when the parties feel so far apart.”
While most polls show Harris narrowly leading Trump in Arizona, she won the state by 3.5 points in 2016. Yet she lost to Joe Biden in 2020.
Feeley also hopes that a Trump victory could help reverse the tide of radical leftism in America today.
“I think people should be able to talk about politics and who they like without getting stones thrown at them or being like, 'Oh, let's cancel someone,'” Feeley told Outkick. “If you're a liberal and you believe in a certain politician, you should be able to talk about it and express your beliefs. If you like Trump, you should be able to express your beliefs.”
“Hopefully one day we can get back to that state again,” Feeley concluded.
