Ex-CISA Leader Quits SentinelOne to Take on Trump Administration Investigation!

Former top CISA official leaving SentinelOne to challenge Trump administration probe

Chris Krebs, a former official at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), has exited the private sector to contest the Trump administration’s inquiry.

Krebs expressed in a Wednesday email that he will “quickly and effectively” “move away from” his cybersecurity firm SentinelOne.

“For those who know me, it’s clear that I cannot shy away from challenging battles, but I also realize that this is something I must fully pursue – beyond SentinelOne.”

Krebs, who asserted that the U.S. election was secure, contested claims from current President Trump regarding alleged election fraud in 2020.

In a note from last week, Trump requested an inquiry by Attorney General Pam Bondy and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem into “Krebs as a Government Official, including CISA leaders.”

In his memo, the president stated the investigation aimed to uncover “any instance” where the former CISA director’s actions “seemed to breach federal employee conduct standards” or “led to the unauthorized release of classified information.”

“This is about the government leveraging its power to challenge and pursue profits and corporate ties of the firm,” Krebs stated in an interview on Wednesday. The Wall Street Journal was the first to report this news.

“It’s reminiscent of what we observed at the law firm; they pursued clearances and contracts. This is a unique and extensive strategy they’re implementing, and it deserves attention,” he continued.

Oka contacted the White House for responses.
