Cameron Woodall, a former college basketball player and a two-time state champion in high school from Mississippi, was reportedly involved in a deadly ATV accident over the weekend. He was just 26 years old.

Woodall was operating a four-wheeler in Raymond, Mississippi. According to sources, another individual driving a different ATV was also part of the incident and has been hospitalized with serious injuries.

An investigation into the accident is already underway, as reported by local news outlets. Woodall, a standout athlete at Raymond High School, had led his team to state championships in 2017 and 2018.

The community is mourning his loss. “It’s a deep sadness that we share in Cameron’s early passing. He was a true talent,” said a representative from Tougaloo College, where Woodall also made a name for himself in basketball.

Copiah-Lincoln Community College also expressed condolences, noting his significant impact on and off the basketball court. “Cameron was not just a player; he was a friend and a brother to many,” they stated.
