Former college football quarterback Beau Wallace criticized Auburn coach Hugh Freeze after the school's 24-14 loss to the University of Arkansas on Saturday.
Beau Wallace, who played under Freeze when he was at Ole Miss, was not pleased with Freeze's critical comments about quarterbacks. Payton Thorne and Hank Brown combined for four interceptions. Freeze said he had to find a player who “won't throw the ball to the other team.”

Wallace accused Freeze of “betraying” the quarterback.
“He's been a victim of so many QBs that it's getting to the point where no one may want to play for him,” Wallace wrote to X. “His offensive prowess was a big help to me when I hurt my shoulder and helped me improve my grades…
“But why blame someone else every time we lose??…But when we win, just watch the press conference and count how many times the word 'me' is used…I'm grateful for what he did for me, even though my son wouldn't have played for him.”

“We know there's going to be guys that are open, and we know we're going to run the football,” Freeze added. Yahoo Sports“And then we've got to find a guy that's not going to throw the ball to the other team. And we've got to find a running back that can hold onto the ball.”
