Former Doge Staffer Discusses Brutal Attack
Edward Coristine, a former employee of Doge, spoke on “Jesse Watters Primetime” this past Monday about the violent incident he experienced this summer.
On August 3, around 3 a.m., Coristine was assaulted by a group of teenagers near Logan Circle in Washington, D.C.
Recently, a 15-year-old from Hyattsville, Maryland, pleaded guilty in juvenile court to several charges, including felony assault and robbery, related to the attack.
While speaking with Jesse Watters, Coristine shared that he had been with a group of friends just before the event unfolded.
“I was walking one of my friends to her car, and there was this group of ten guys across the street,” he recounted. “The moment they started shouting at us, I felt something was off.”
He hurriedly got his friend into the driver’s seat and locked the door, but then the assault began.
“They slammed me into the car,” Coristine said. “Then they started launching punches. I tried to protect myself… Luckily, it didn’t last long.”
“The police arrived quickly, which I’m thankful for, because I ended up with a broken nose and a concussion,” he mentioned. “It could have turned out a lot worse.”
When asked why he moved to D.C. and took a job with Doge, he spoke of a strong desire to serve his country.
“My grandfather was a KGB double agent who worked for the U.S.,” Coristine explained. “He sacrificed so much for me to live in this free country that I cherish.”
“So when I began noticing these issues…” he paused, as if considering his next words carefully.
After news of the attack spread, President Trump reacted, describing the situation in D.C. as “completely out of control.” He highlighted concerns about young criminals acting without fear of consequences.
