Ex-ESPN star Adrian Wojnarowski reveals cancer battle

Former ESPN star Adrian Wojnarowski revealed in an interview that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer before leaving the company to take a job at St. Bonaventure.

Wojnarowski opened up about cancer in an interview. sports illustrated. He said he saw a doctor in February and a blood test revealed an elevated prostate-specific antigen (PSA). After an MRI found nothing, he underwent a second blood test. A subsequent biopsy revealed early-stage cancer.

“When you think of cancer, you think of it moving through your body like Pac-Man,” Wojnarowski said. “Prostate cancer usually stays within the prostate gland and usually grows slowly.”

He added that the extent of the cancer was “pretty limited” and that he was being tested every three months. According to Sports Illustrated, doctors told him to change his eating habits and that surgery was an option, but only if he was mentally unable to fight.
