Former Nashville Officer’s Plea Deal Following Controversial Video Incident

A former police officer in Nashville has been cleared of witnessing an adult film star involved in a video incident from last year. This situation has taken over a year to navigate through the legal system.

Shawn Herman, 35, accepted a plea deal classified as “in the best interest” on a felony misconduct charge during a Thursday session at Nashville Crown Court. Consequently, he will serve a year of probation, while another charge was dismissed.

Herman lost his position at the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) in May 2024, shortly after footage emerged that sparked the investigation. The MNPD has declined to comment further regarding this ruling.

Jordyn, the model in the video, expressed her frustrations to Fox News Digital, explaining that she had personalized her Porsche GT3 to draw attention to the way this case was handled. She claimed that the prosecution continued to pursue the case despite lacking concrete evidence to support their assertions that Herman was acting for financial gain.

The video depicted Herman looking like he was conducting a traffic stop, during which Jordyn exposed herself and encouraged him to touch her. In a rather controversial exchange, she is later seen holding onto his pants.

Interestingly, the officer’s face isn’t visible in the footage, although a patch indicating his affiliation with the MNPD could be seen on his uniform. A police spokesperson remarked that this behavior was highly disrespectful to the department and its employees.

Herman’s plea means he has not disputed the claim, though he maintains his innocence regarding the circumstances. The court may allow him to have this incident removed from his record if he successfully completes his probation under the agreed-upon conditions.
