Ex-Porn Star Powerfully Dismantles Arguments Porn Is ‘Harmless,’ Issues Warning for Married Couples

Former porn star Brittni de la Mora is now on a mission to spread the gospel and lead people to the truth. She recently posed a poignant question: “Is it okay to watch porn if you’re married?”

De la Mora and her husband Richard tackle questions like this on their popular podcast, where they often tackle tough questions about sex, marriage, and relationships. ”Let’s talk about purity. ”

Brittni said this question about porn and marriage is one that couples often ask, and some wonder whether porn qualifies as pornography. Possible alternatives to infidelity. But before we get to that question, Richard said you need to back up and look at the porn itself.

“Let’s talk about porn first,” he said. “Is it OK to watch porn in general?”

Richard and Brittni went on to dismantle the argument that pornography is harmless and doesn’t hurt anyone. This claim is voiced by some advocates and others who seek to ignore the dangers.

Brittni, who has been an adult film star for seven years and is no stranger to the horrors and farce that pervade the industry, was candid and explicit in her rebuke of porn consumption.

“No, it’s not OK to watch porn,” she said. “Just because something is available doesn’t mean you should take advantage of it.”

Brittni continued, “Porn is…a gateway. It stimulates the same dopamine receptors in the brain…as cocaine. So it’s proven to be addictive.”

She said porn can become like a stereotype or a drug, drawing people deeper and deeper into the abyss and causing harm in the process. Brittni said the realization that this content is deeply damaging to souls, families and marriages can open people’s eyes and give them the power to “stop watching.”

Beyond that, Richard said, there is another factor at work: the dehumanization of God’s creation.

“When you look at porn, you’re objectifying women, or you’re objectifying men,” he said, noting that over time these images distort people’s minds and distort the reality they encounter. He pointed out that there is a possibility of disrespecting people. “Now you’re taking these images, and these images are now creating false illusions in general, especially in your marriage.”

In addition to these topics, they also noticed the fact that porn creates isolation and can lead to erectile dysfunction among other personal worries.

“It doesn’t just affect your soul, it affects your body,” Richard said.

After uncovering all the problems that porn can cause, the couple returned to their original question. Is it acceptable to watch porn during marriage? Brittni turned to the Bible.

“Jesus says that if you look at another woman lustfully, you have already committed adultery,” she said. “God looks at your heart first, so if you try to look at another person in your most intimate acts, you have already committed adultery. Because you are doing it in your heart.”

Couples say that couples facing problems cannot find fulfillment in porn because porn itself is harmful and there are underlying issues that need to be addressed in order to find healing or get back on track. insisted.

They said couples need to communicate instead of turning to porn when problems arise or sex isn’t going well. Richard argued that “intimacy starts outside the bedroom” and should start with a good conversation that gets to the heart of the matter.

“Our marriage requires a strong friendship,” Brittni said. “They both feel heard, they feel validated, they feel loved, they feel accepted. And it just pours out.”

Richard ended the conversation with a simple declaration for singles and couples alike: “There’s never a good time to watch porn.”

“Don’t let the enemy blow you a blowout,” he said. “‘Oh, but this will spice up my marriage,’ or, ‘Oh, that’s better.’ No, that’s a lie from the enemy. Everything the enemy sends you is a lie.”
