Ex-Syracuse player Brendan Paul allegedly was Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ drug mule

Brendan Paul, a former Syracuse University basketball player, was arrested by federal agents this week and accused of being Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “drug mule.”

Paul, 25, was arrested by federal agents on Monday at Miami Opa Locka Executive Airport as he was about to board a private jet with the rapper.

Federal authorities working with the Department of Homeland Security and the Border Patrol reportedly found drugs believed to be cocaine and edible marijuana in Paul’s bag.

Paul played two seasons as a walk-on on the Syracuse basketball team and transferred to Division II Fairmont State University in 2020.

He appeared in 16 games over two seasons with Syracuse, playing a total of 17 minutes and recording three points and one rebound.

Rodney Jones’ lawsuit against Combs claimed that Paul was the rap mogul’s “drug mule.”

The complaint alleges that Paul “obtained and distributed guns and drugs to Mr. Combs.”

Diddy’s connection to Paul’s drug arrest this week has not been made clear.

Paul was released on $2,500 bail.

Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles were searched this week by the Department of Homeland Security’s Human Trafficking Task Force.

He later settled a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura, alleging sexual abuse.

Combs has also faced other lawsuits in recent months.

He also spoke about these other incidents in his December statement.

“Nasty allegations have been made against me by people looking for a quick paycheck. Let me be clear: I have done nothing as egregious as is being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and my truth,” he wrote on Instagram.
