Ex-WWE star alleges executives asked male wrestlers to do ‘sexual things’

Former WWE star Paul Roma said Monday that he is aware of a professional wrestler who allegedly approached him for sexual favors during his time with the organization.

Roman was with WWE (then known as World Wrestling Federation) from 1984 to 1991, then moved to World Championship Wrestling. He was part of the Young Stallions and the Power and Glory tag team and briefly appeared as a single competitor.

“For the most part, I listened to it regularly,” Roman said. “Then you don’t hear it for a while, and then it comes full circle. But it wasn’t about Vince himself, it was about the people around him.

“We’re talking about an industry where young, good-looking, well-built men actually step into the ring half-naked, actually three-quarters naked…yeah, that’s it. He left the door open. He had a lot of people around him. The vice presidents and bookers were into it, and they’re going to put you in a really bad situation, especially once you start making some money. , and when you get a little used to it, you realize your job is on the line – do it or quit.”

Roman said there are situations where a wrestler may want to leave the industry or leave the industry altogether. When asked why he wanted to leave, he said he was asked to do “sexual things” with other men.

Roma said her partner never said who had proposed to her, but she told him what was asked, but did not go into details other than “sexual favors.” When Roman was asked if it was a WWE executive whose partner suggested him, he replied, “That’s all.”

“If someone gives me money, that’s it for sure. There’s nothing else. It’s not the other guys I’m competing with,” Roma said. “They’re not going to offer you money.”

He added that another former partner in the Young Stallions tag team approached his agent after receiving a marriage proposal, but Roman knew the complaint would ruin his career with the company. He said his top executives offered him “money” and “drugs.”

Representatives for WWE, TKO Group Holdings and a spokesperson for McMahon did not immediately respond to FOX News Digital’s requests for comment.

Additionally, Rome said he is aware of other incidents that are even worse than those detailed in the Grant lawsuit.
