‘Example Jesus Gave Is Timeless and Universal’

In his annual Christmas message to the Commonwealth of Nations, King Charles III celebrated the example set by Jesus Christ for the world and paid tribute to the sacrifices of veterans and healthcare workers.

“The example that Jesus gave us is timeless and universal. It is about reaching into the worlds of people who are suffering, making a difference in their lives, and bringing hope where there is despair. '' King Charles declared in his third Christmas speech.

“The famous Christmas carol “Once in Royal David City'' reminds us that “our holy Savior'' “descended from heaven to earth,'' and “the poor and the vile.'' He lived among the lowly and the lowly, and changed the lives of those he met through God's saving love.

“That is the heart of the Nativity story, and in the faith of all great faiths in the love and mercy of God, in times of joy and in times of suffering, we can hear its heartbeat, and the darkness It calls us to bring light to a place.”

The message was pre-recorded from Fitzrovia Chapel at the former Middlesex Hospital in London, rather than the traditional Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle, and highlighted the health scare facing himself and other members of the royal family. It was a personal thing. .

“We all go through some form of suffering at some stage in our lives, whether it be mental or physical. It’s important to understand how much we support each other and how much we support each other, whether people of faith or non-belief. “The degree to which we derive support from each other is a measure of our civilization as a nation,” he said.

“This continues to impress me every time my family and I meet and hear the stories of people who dedicate their lives to helping others.”

The King thanked the selfless doctors and nurses who supported me and other families this year, giving us the strength, care and comfort we needed during the uncertainty and anxiety caused by the disease. I would like to express my heartfelt and special gratitude.” ”

“We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has sent us their warmest sympathies and words of encouragement.''

The king also lamented the continuing escalation of conflicts in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and elsewhere, while also highlighting the sacrifices of D-Day veterans who “gave their lives bravely on behalf of all of us.” Ta.

Taking a slightly more political turn, King Charles commented that “diversity of culture, ethnicity and faith brings strength, not weakness.”

The king also commented on the Southport riots that erupted across the UK over the summer after a mass stabbing at a children's dance blamed on second-generation immigrants, which left three girls dead.

“I felt a deep sense of pride here in the UK when, in response to the outrage and injustice that took place in several towns this summer, communities came together to try to redress and not repeat these acts. And most importantly, by listening and understanding, we decide how to act for the benefit of everyone. ” he said.

In conclusion, King Charles said: Mary, the mother of Jesus, listened to the words of an angel who revealed to her a different future full of hope for all people. The angel's message to the shepherds, that there should be peace on earth, actually resonates across all faiths and philosophies.

“That is still true today for people of goodwill all over the world. With this in mind, I wish you and everyone you love a most joyful and peaceful Christmas. ”
