Footage shot by a Fox team in New Mexico showed men walking around the border wall in Sunland, New Mexico, before leaving for the United States. Elsewhere, coyotes and scouts were seen monitoring Fox’s crew and Border Patrol agents.
Another video showed Border Patrol agents rounding up migrants in the desert as they entered the United States. One Border Patrol agent said the Fox Border Patrol is losing control of nearby Mount Cristo Rey to human smugglers.
“It’s not ours. … It’s theirs,” the agent said.

Twenty-nine migrants were also found in a smuggler’s stash in the El Paso area, which includes parts of Texas and New Mexico. Meanwhile, in the Del Rio area, authorities this week arrested two sex offenders, including one who was convicted of child sex crimes.
Borders remain the most important political issue in the lead-up to the 2024 elections. The Biden administration said it was trying to address the hemispheric crisis and eliminate the impact of illegal immigration while expanding “legal immigration pathways.”

But Republicans say the crisis was caused by a rollback of Trump-era policies and Biden-era moves to expand “catch-and-release” and roll back domestic enforcement.
