More than 250 conservative Texas leaders are helping Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) to remove Republican Sen. John Cornyn (Texas), Blaze News first learned.
Texas leaders, lawmakers and grassroots activists gathered behind Paxton as he prepared for the Primary Cornyn. Cornyn has held a Senate seat since 2002 and will be re-election in 2026.
“He has a great record of fighting for the Texans and their rights, which is more necessary than ever.”
“I am extremely grateful for the support of over 250 conservative leaders from all over our great state,” Paxton told Blaze News. “While John Cornyn relies on his Washington facility to save him, I am proud that my campaign is driven by grassroots and Texans.”
Paxton characterized Cornyn as a career politician who previously had conflicted with President Donald Trump’s priorities.
“Our momentum grows every day because there are millions of patriots who know what I know. It’s a time for change,” Paxton told Blaze News. “John Cornyn has been in Washington for over 20 years, and all he’s done during that time is to work with Joe Biden to pass radical gun control, attack President Trump, and call the border wall “naive.” ”
“He failed in our state,” Paxton continued. “I’m running to ensure that Cornyn will always replace him with a strong conservative warrior who will stand with President Trump.”
Political allies echoed Paxton by saying he was the necessary change agent for Washington, DC
“Paxton is the perfect person to replace Reno, John Cornyn.” blazetv Contributor and Paxton supporter Matthew Maldsen told Blaze News. “He has a great record of fighting for the Texans and their rights.
“For too long, John Cornyn sold the Texans and voted against the will of his members.” Sarah GonzalezBlazetv’s “Sara Gonzales not filtered” host told Blaze News. “He seems far more interested in funding eternal wars than helping his citizens. Frankly, he’s an embarrassment for Texas.”
“Attorney General Paxton has a long track record of fighting for the Texans, even when the fight is tough and when the facility is behind him,” added Gonzalez. “Sometimes, he was the only statewide elected official who was trying to do the right thing. I look forward to Paxton giving Texans a real representative in the US Senate.”
