The executive director of an airport in Arkansas named for former President Bill Clinton and former first lady and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was shot and killed Tuesday as federal agents tried to serve a search warrant.
Arkansas State Police said the shooting occurred at a residence on Durance Court in Little Rock at 6 a.m. local time, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) served a search warrant at the home of Airport Executive Director Brian Malinowski. It was announced that .
Malinowski, 53, was shot and was treated at the scene before being taken to a local hospital. His condition has not been determined.

An ATF officer also suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound during the shootout and was taken to a local hospital. ATF and Little Rock police have asked state police to investigate the incident.
Authorities have not said what caused the shooting or who fired first. The case will be presented to prosecutors to determine whether deadly force was used within state law.

An airport spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital that Malinowski is the airport’s executive director.
“Today’s incident saddens us and we pray for the well-being of everyone involved,” Airport Commission Chairman Bill Walker said in a statement. “As Chairman of the City of Little Rock Airport Commission, I have appointed Tom Clark, the airport’s deputy executive director, to serve as acting executive director. Day-to-day operations at the airport will continue as normal.”

Mr. Malinowski joined Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport in 2008 as director of real estate, planning and development and was promoted to deputy director in 2009, according to his bio on the airport’s website. .
Clinton’s ties to Arkansas stem from Bill Clinton’s tenure as governor from 1979 to 1981 and again from 1983 to 1992.
