Phil Mickelson Criticizes Ilhan Omar
Phil Mickelson, the renowned golfer, sparked controversy with remarks aimed at Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar, following her comments regarding Charlie Kirk.
Mickelson’s statement on social media read, “Every time Ilhan opens her mouth, she spits out the asshole and hopes that she will come here unfairly and be sent back to Somalia soon.” He expressed his thoughts on the platform X.
This post came as a reaction to a video of Omar defending her remarks about Kirk, who had recently faced negative commentary. She referred to him as “Dr. Frankenstein” and mentioned that she wouldn’t sit idle while others criticized the legacy of someone she believes should be forgotten.
Omar, during an interview with CNN, responded to what she deemed harsh pushback, asserting that she hadn’t damaged Kirk’s legacy during a discussion about his funeral.
Mickelson, referred to as “Lefty,” has also expressed views about Kirk’s assassination in Utah on September 10, making comments that align with other notable figures in conservative circles. His social media presence has been filled with posts related to this fatal event, and he recently shared content from South Carolina Republican Rep. Nancy Mace.
Mace had stated, “We want to see you next get deported to Somalia,” which Mickelson shared with his followers, encouraging others to amplify similar sentiments.
It’s worth noting that Mickelson’s recent comments about Omar emerged soon after a House floor vote led by Mace aimed at condemning Omar for her remarks about Kirk. This episode highlights the ongoing tensions surrounding political discourse and public figures.
