Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day” Thrives at the Box Office

Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi thriller, “Disclosure Day,” which centers on a whistleblower revealing a government cover-up regarding extraterrestrial life in 2026, is performing impressively at the box office, having pulled in around $160 million globally so far.

Blaze TV host Rick Burgess expressed skepticism about the film from the moment he first saw a trailer. The timing feels peculiar, considering the government’s ongoing attempts to make UFO-related documents public. Additionally, Spielberg’s remarks on how the film’s release might impact public confidence added to Rick’s unease.

Many of the characters in the movie wrestle with their beliefs about God and humanity’s significance upon discovering alien existence. Rick suggests that these “aliens” might actually represent angels or demons, and he doubts that evidence of extraterrestrial beings would challenge believers as Spielberg indicated.

He stated, “The notion that if it turns out, like in the movies, they’re just humans from some other place and not demonic or angelic beings—this is not going to undermine our faith.” True Christians, he believes, understand that everything is created by God.

He referenced the Bible, specifically Genesis, which speaks of God as the Creator—”the beginning and end of all things.” Thus, even if extraterrestrials were to appear from another planet, Rick argues, it wouldn’t alter what believers hold true about God.

Burgess also points out that there is an ongoing cosmic battle between the forces of good (angels) and evil (devils) that remains unseen. “If a group from another place exists, we have no way of knowing their relationship with God, but their existence doesn’t negate God,” he shared.

He concluded with a firm statement: “What Satan wants us to believe is that if aliens show up, they, rather than God, must have created us.”
