On Friday, a day before violent tornadoes hit the Mississippi Valley on Saturday, massive wildfires and straight winds destroyed Oklahoma, killing at least 17 people.
Missouri has alone had 11 deaths. Associated Press. As reported by the Associated Press, 29 people were injured in eight counties in hurricane-like weather, but three people died in Arkansas and 29 others were injured.
Three more people were killed in a car accident on Friday in the Texas Panhandle.
The destruction guaranteed the state of emergency in several southern states, including Georgia, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Oklahoma Gov. J Kevin Stitt (R) wrote, “I write because of damage to power lines and infrastructure. Saturday's Presidential Order Decide a state of emergency. A natural disaster has damaged nearly 300 homes across the state.
The gusts were expected to blow from the Canadian border to Texas at up to 80 mph (130 kph), according to the Associated Press. Extreme weather has caused the risk of wildfires in warmer areas and blizzards in colder areas.
Texas saw the fire, but the blackout affected more than 260,000 homes in the southwest.
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) I wrote it Serious thunderstorms and tornadoes have caused “danger, difficulties and suffering throughout the state.”
Eastern Louisiana, Mississippi, Mississippi and Alabama are at risk of experiencing more tornadoes Saturday, in addition to Georgia and the western Florida Panhandle, according to the Associated Press.
