There are various theories about the origin of the name of this corner. most notable The project involves a local resident nicknamed Tarzan, who says he will only give up his vegetable garden to build a truck once a corner is named after Tarzan.
Then there’s Turn 14, named after former driver and two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luendyk. This corner (together with Turn 3) gives the driver a bank angle close to his 19 degrees. That’s more than double his ninth-degree corner on his speedway at the Indianapolis Motor.
At Hugenholz (Turn 3), drivers taking a slow, banked corner provide some of the most iconic footage of the Dutch Grand Prix.
