F1 Grand Prix: Everything you need to know

It’s a thrilling experience for spectators to watch cars whiz by at almost 200 miles per hour.

F1 holds races around the world every year. Each is known as a Grand Prix. Drivers earn points over a long season, and the driver with the most points becomes the world champion.

1. What is the Grand Prix?

Grand Prix means “Grand Prix” in French. According to Dictionary.com, it was only used to refer to the country’s largest or most prestigious F1 race.

The term is now used to refer to the main event of a race weekend, usually held on a Sunday.

Grand Prix weekends typically begin on Friday and last for three days, ending with the main event on Sunday.

According to the F1 website, “As the highest class international race for single-seater formula racing cars, F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport and the most prestigious motor racing competition in the world.”

2. How is the F1 champion determined?

Drivers are awarded points based on their performance at each Grand Prix during the season.

According to the F1 website, the winner of the race will be awarded 25 points. From there, when a driver crosses the finish line, in descending order he is awarded 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 points and his 1 point.

According to the F1 website, additional points can be earned. If the driver with the fastest lap finishes in the top 10, he or she will receive additional points. More points are available for F1 sprint races. According to the F1 website, these races, as the name suggests, are shorter than typical F1 races, at around one-third the distance. These races are only 100km long.

3. How many drivers will be competing in the 2024 F1 season?

According to the F1 website, 20 drivers and 10 teams are participating in the 2024 F1 season.

Last year, Max Verstappen won the championship. He won in 2021 and 2022 and will compete again in 2024, where he is the favorite.

According to Red Bull’s website, he is the son of former F1 driver Jos Verstappen and is the youngest race winner in history.

The Belgian-born driver will race for Red Bull Racing. Sergio Perez is another member of the team.

4. How many countries host F1 races?

According to the F1 website, the 2024 F1 races will be held in 21 countries on five continents.

The 2024 Monaco Grand Prix weekend will be held from May 24th to May 26th. This event is considered one of the most prestigious car races in the world.

Other locations for 2024 include Miami, Spain, United Kingdom, Italy, Singapore, Mexico, Brazil and Las Vegas.

The 2024 pre-season will begin in February and the season will conclude in December in Abu Dhabi.
