The Falcons appear to be doing everything they can to fill the vacant head coaching position.
The team has scheduled a second interview with University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The two countries are scheduled to meet next week.
All of this comes after the Falcons continued their push to acquire a potential replacement for Arthur Smith, who was replaced at the end of the season.
Atlanta specifically interviewed former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who is considered the team's “top candidate.” Reported by Diana Russini of The Athletic..
The Falcons reportedly even chartered owner Arthur Blank's private plane to fly Belichick south as part of that process.
Belichick, 71, has completed his second interview with the Falcons. The team announced on Friday.
As for Harbaugh, 60, he completed his first interview with the Falcons earlier this week after interviewing with the Chargers.

Harbaugh previously coached the 49ers (2011-14) and reached the Super Bowl in 2012-13, losing to his brother John and the Ravens.
In an interview Friday at the March for Life rally in Washington, D.C., Harbaugh again appeared cautious about what his future holds and whether he will actually leave the Wolverines.

“I just accept the advice of God, the Holy Spirit, and my father, Jack Harbaugh, and his wife, Sarah,” he said. Sports & Media Writer John Root. “Just take the advice and live one day at a time.
“One day at a time. One game at a time. One play at a time.”
On Friday, The Falcons also announced they have completed virtual interviews. With Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
The defensive back, who has played for the Jets for eight years, has been leading Detroit's defense since 2021.
