Falsehoods are dividing America from within.

Falsehoods are dividing America from within.

Back in fifth grade, an encyclopedia salesman came into our classroom and presented a collection of 12 leather-bound books. Now, for anyone younger than 20, I guess it’s sort of like the precursor to Wikipedia. If I wanted to know something, I had to look it up myself.

After his presentation, he handed out buttons to all of us that said: “We never guess, we’ll look into it!”

Prayer is vital—more than just revival; it’s about seeking clarity. It’s about courage, and love for both truth and country.

So, being one of the jokers in class, I pinned that button to my shirt and proclaimed, “I’ll make it!”

The other kids laughed.

While that might have been amusing for kids, when it comes to serious cultural and political issues, that kind of thinking can be quite dangerous. It risks dividing people and causing significant damage.

There are four key areas particularly vulnerable to these misconceptions, which have taken root and now threaten to tear us apart.

Shallow Journalism

Once a proud vocation, journalism has morphed into a platform for flimsy stories fed by anonymous sources. For instance, take a recent article from a major publication claiming that Donald Trump sent a warm birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein. Evidence? Anyone? I’m still waiting.

Would it surprise you if we accepted such flimsy claims as gospel truth?

When Jussie Smollett claimed that he was attacked by MAGA supporters, the media treated his words as fact. It wasn’t about the truth; the narrative was everything.

Did we really need a court case to uncover the reality behind Smollett’s slick claims?

Then there’s Trump, accused of so many things, from being a “Russian doll” to facing court allegations that utilized a storyline better suited for TV.

This tactic of accusing the other side of one’s own actions—whether originating from Goebbels, Alinsky, or others—has proven effective. It’s high time that we hold the narrative-spreaders accountable.

On-demand Abortion

I was in college when the Supreme Court had discussions about legalizing abortion in 1973. The conversation revolved around “choices,” but I couldn’t help but wonder, what kind of “choice” are we really discussing?

If we’re willing to protect an eagle’s egg due to its potential life, why is it so different for a human baby? Their lives can be taken away for up to nine months, and often even at birth.

This isn’t merely a medical issue; it’s moral madness.

Gender Identity and Transgender Issues

Do you remember when the LGBTQ movement’s rallying cry was about “bedroom privacy”? What was once a private matter has transformed into a public agenda.

Today, there’s a demand for celebration rather than tolerance; it’s about affirming “gender identity” in schools. If a little boy identifies as a girl, parents are expected to openly support that.

What began as “Big Bill loves Big Bill” has evolved into “a small child must be a little Jill.”

Weaponized Racism

Few things are as divisive as the distortions of racism that we see today.

Racism, in its most manipulated form, has gained traction, leading to the bizarre idea that electing someone like Barack Obama is a kind of “atonement” for past wrongs, such as the historical slave trade.

This notion of a “fundamental transformation” has eroded the principle of judging people by their character rather than their skin color. It undermines the once-accepted belief that all men are created equal.

Many Christians view abortion as a significant moral failure in America. Yet, I think that God might be using the left’s weaponized racism as a judgment on our nation.

National Concerns

Recently, National Intelligence Director Tarsi Gabbard uncovered what she called a “one-year coup” orchestrated during Obama’s first term against Donald Trump. If proven, these claims could lead to widespread unrest, worse than what we saw with the George Floyd protests.

Those on the right have marched peacefully to oppose abortion, while many on the left have celebrated LGBTQ rights. However, when racial dynamics enter the picture, groups like Black Lives Matter can turn situations into chaos.

A Call for Truth

These troubling elements can lead to a dark, destructive period for our country. We’ll have to see how this unfolds.

For now, let’s remember what that little button from fifth grade was all about. We need to inquire, and we must speak the truth.

Prayer is essential—not just for revival, but for clarity and courage. We need to love the truth and our nation.

This country was built on the belief in divine righteousness. The founding fathers thought the truth was worth fighting for. Lies have no more place here; we need to seek truth again.
