Family Claims 'Phillies Karen' Became 'Extremely Offensive' over Home Run Ball

A family reported that the notorious “Philly’s Cullen” displayed a notable outburst while demanding a home run ball.

Over the weekend, Phillies fans captured attention after a father, who had just secured a home run ball for his son, was confronted by the man, leading to a heated scene in front of the young child.

To make matters worse, the child who lost out on the ball was actually celebrating his birthday.

The incident occurred when Phillies outfielder Harrison Budd hit a home run during a game against the Marlins at Rondepot Park.

A crowd of fans rushed to claim the ball, but a man in a red Phillies shirt ended up grabbing it after it fell into a void of empty seats, and he returned it to his son. However, this action didn’t sit well with some older female fans in white shirts nearby.

Father Drew Feltwell spoke on Fox News, alongside his son Lincoln and daughter Avery, detailing the episode and saying the woman used “very vulgar” language in front of her child.

“I can’t even repeat what she said,” Feltwell remarked. “She yelled at me using a lot of foul language, claiming, ‘That’s my ball’ because she felt entitled to it.”

He added that he ultimately gave her the ball to de-escalate the tension and mentioned he had no regrets about it.

“I actually think the world could use a little more escalation,” Feltwell commented. “Everything feels so tense nowadays, and I definitely didn’t want to have a scene in front of my kids or the cameras. Sure, it was tough to deal with in the moment, but that’s behind us now.”

He expressed a desire for her to return the ball, stating he hoped for the best for her despite his dissatisfaction with her actions.

“I do want my son to have that ball back,” he said. “But I really don’t wish anything bad upon her. Our evening has been pretty good otherwise, so I guess I can’t complain too much.”

In a nice twist, Lincoln received a full souvenir package from the Phillies, along with a signed baseball bat from Harrison Bader.

“I hope she values that ball as much as I would have,” Lincoln added.

So far, the individual dubbed “Philly’s Cullen” has not been identified.
