‘Family, faith, and grit’: Did Stallone just give Hollywood a knockout punch in new film?

Many films coming out of Hollywood have recently faced heavy criticism because they often pushed “awakening” values, but are also original. Dick Boyce aims to change that.

Boyce is an investor and entrepreneur who co-produced a new film with Sylvester Stallone, known as “Lost on a Mountain in Maine.” The story spans multiple generations, with smartphones, helicopter parenting and returning movies before digital overload.

“I just had an opening to make a film like Disney. Timeless values of the family, faith and grit that people are involved.” James Polos “Zero Hour” explains the film is about a boy who survived after spending nine days without food or shelter.

The film appears to bridge the gap between the older, less technologically savvy generation and the newer digital native generation.

“In spite of the fact that in many cases we are actually experiencing all these repetitions of changes that cover our heads, there is still a stronger thread than that, and it may not be very obvious, but the family is part of it,” commented Poulos.

The film also raises questions about the impact of technology on these younger generations.

“They aren’t growing in the best way to live a fulfilling, open, engaged life,” Boyce says.

“We’ve always focused on the potential harms of technology, and like fire, like these tools, they can always use them in the wrong way, and it can hurt you,” Poulos agrees.

“I think the real question is, if you disappear on the phone, there’s a temptation to deliberately retreat from real life, what you’re running away from, what you’re missing, what you’re afraid of, and that’s the real danger,” he adds.
